Noah's Ark; The Vessel Of Deliverance

(For more insights regarding Noah and who he represents in the body of Christ at the end of this age, see the Bible study Noah; A Sign Of The End.)

“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.”

(Matthew 24:37)

*** All quotes with page numbers were taken from “A Closer Look At The Rapture,” by Bill Britton.

“God is preparing a vessel of deliverance for His people, and a means of judgment for His enemies. Exactly as He did in the days of Noah.” (p. 1)

Genesis 6:13-16 – God used Noah to build the vessel, giving him specific instructions how to do it. Notice that the pitch was to be covered inside and out. Without it the vessel would sink. It is a picture of the atoning ransom of Jesus Christ. Without the application of His atoning blood on our souls through the surrender of our lives to Him as our Lord and savior, we too will sink, into hell.

13        Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

14        "Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms [see John 14:2], and shall cover [3722- “to cover over, atone, to ransom, propitiate”] it inside and out with pitch [3724- “a cover, the price of a life, a ransom, pitch, the henna plant, a village”].

15        "And this is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.

16        "You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.

(NAS)

Verse 14- “...cover it inside and out with pitch.” This speaks of a protective covering, a “righteous covering” (see the Bible study The Righteous Covering). This is why we must preach repentance.

Exodus 25:8-10 – When God gave the pattern for the tabernacle to Moses, He began with the ark, the innermost part. There is a divine principle here; God always begins with the heart and works outward.

8          "And let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.

9          "According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall construct it.

10        "And they shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

(NAS)

Exodus 37:1-2 – The gold over wood in the construction of the ark symbolizes the righteousness of God over our flesh.

1          Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits;

2          and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around.

(NAS)

Matthew 23:25-28 – Jesus rebukes the Pharisees who always looked to the outside works of man instead of the inside work of God. This is the religious spirit that is in the church today. It is a dead religion, filled with laws, void of the love of Christ. It measures a person’s spirituality on outward appearance only.

25        "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self-indulgence.

26        "You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also.

27        "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.

28        "Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

(NAS)

“Yes, God is building a house, and He is building it with living stones. This habitation of God through the Spirit will be a mighty vessel of deliverance in the time of judgment in these last days. It may be a laughing stock in the religious world, as Noah’s big ship was. It may be a strange looking vessel compared to the ecclesiastical orders of our day, even as Noah’s ship was strange looking.” (p. 3)

“He is using this ark to speak to us about the Sons of God, the overcomer company who shall be joined together [see Exodus 26:1-11; 36:8-18] in the last days to form a glorious vessel that will house the very fullness of God and bring deliverance to all humanity. Glory to God!” (p. 3)

(See the Bible study The Spirit Led Regiment Of The Lord.)

Verse 15- “And this is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.”

  • “300”- Speaks in the Bible of complete deliverance, of victory in conflict. The number 3 is often used with it.

Judges 7:7,16 – In the natural, Gideon’s army appeared to have a very foolish battle plan, but they had God on their side! Obedience to His commands is the only thing necessary for victory. The trumpets represent the Lord’s voice through them on earth (Isaiah 58:1). The empty pitchers with a torch inside represent those who have been emptied of the self-life (i.e. an empty “vessel of honor”; 1 Thess. 4:3-5, 2 Tim. 2:19-21) that has been filled with the light of His presence (John 8:12), a presence that overpowers the darkness (John 1:4-9). The process of being emptied is called sanctification (i.e. “the word of the cross” in 1 Cor. 1:18). It prepares you to be filled with the power of God (i.e. the Holy Spirit). (See Paul’s reliance upon the Holy Spirit in 1 Cor. 2:1-5.)

7          And the LORD said to Gideon, "I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his home."

16        And he divided the 300 men into three companies, and he put trumpets and empty pitchers into the hands of all of them, with torches inside the pitchers.

(NAS)

“All Israel was going to receive deliverance, but the vessel of deliverance was the 300. It is the number of victory in war, the number of Divine deliverance, supernatural deliverance.” (p. 5)

1 Kings 10:17 – King Solomon’s shields made of “beaten gold.”

17        And he made 300 shields of beaten gold, using three minas of gold on each shield, and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

(NAS)

“beaten gold” – That which has been processed under the hammer (See Numbers 10:2 above). This is the process of sanctification that every Christian goes through. The Holy Spirit transforms us into the image of Jesus by “beating out” the fleshly nature through His refining process. It is a difficult process that is necessary for transforming us into His likeness. This is why Paul could honestly say in regards to his times of suffering that he could “count it all joy.” He understood why he was going through trials and temptations.

1 Peter 1:6-9 – The golden shield of faith.

6          In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,

7          that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

8          and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

9          obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

(NAS)

“The golden shield of faith. Enough for the entire army of 300, that great army of God that goes forth to bring deliverance to all creation. Praise God!” (p. 5)

1 Chronicles 11:20 – A supernatural deliverance. One man killing 300 men.

20        And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.

(KJV)

“So we see today the need for a great deliverance for God’s people, as well as the entire lost world. And God is bringing forth His vessel, a company of blood-bought, Spirit filled overcomers who will be measured by the rod of God for the day when they will go into action against the forces of hell.” (p. 5)

(See the article entitled Iwo Jima and the Flag raising on Mount Suribachi, as well as the previously mentioned Bible study The Spirit Led Regiment Of The Lord.)

Mark 14:3-6 – This unnamed woman anoints the body of Christ, the vessel of deliverance for the whole world of sinners. In a few days, His body would be hung on a cross to bring supernatural deliverance to “whosoever will.” (See the Bible study The Morning And Evening Sacrifice.)

3          And while He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head.

4          But some were indignantly remarking to one another, "Why has this perfume been wasted?

5          "For this perfume might have been sold for over three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor." And they were scolding her.

6          But Jesus said, "Let her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to Me.

(NAS)

“It cost her something to minister to the body of Christ in faith. And while she was rebuked and rejected by her contemporaries, history has never forgotten her. So it is with all God’s faithful prophets.” (p. 6)

The Tabernacle In The Wilderness (p.6-8) – The picture of God’s redemption for mankind.

  • The tabernacle was in the form of a tent 10 cubits wide and 30 cubits long. 10 x 30 = 300

  • There are 3 gates, doors, or veils. Each has 100 square cubits. 3 x 100 = 300

  • The outer gate was 5 x 20. The other two are each 10 x 10.

2nd Veil- Behind this veil, the Holy Place is 20 cubits long, 10 cubits wide, 10 cubits high. 20 x 10 x 10 = 2,000; We have been in this place, figuratively, since the death of Christ ushered us in. It has been about 2,000 years.

3rd Veil- Beyond this curtain, into the Holy of Holies, it was 10 cubits long, 10 cubits wide, 10 cubits high.

10 x 10 x 10 = 1,000; This represents the millennium where Christ is forever joined with His Bride who joins Him on His throne of authority. Praise God!!!

Passing through all 3 = 300 square cubits. The number 3 is the number of divine fullness, completeness, or perfection. (For much more on this, see the Bible study The Third Day.)

“Complete deliverance awaits the people who complete God’s program by passing through the third veil, thus coming into a place where they can fulfill the THREE HUNDRED of God by bringing deliverance to a needy world through our Lord Jesus Christ according to Romans 8:19-23. This is known as “the manifestation of the Son’s of God.” This is the deliverance spoken of in Noah’s ark when God commanded it to be 300 cubits long. He is right now putting the finishing touches on His vessel of deliverance, His body of Sons. The work is almost finished. Judgment will not come until the ark of God is ready. It is very near… One of the greatest reasons for Christians missing out on God’s great plan for the end of this age is their allegiance to their sectarian denomination. The call is going forth, “Come out of her My people”. For sectarianism will have no part in that which God is doing in this present day Ark of deliverance, His “three hundred.” (p.7-8)

“.. and its height thirty cubits.” (Genesis 6:15) – The height of Noah’s ark.

The number 30 stands for that which is full stature.

1 Kings 6:2 – Solomon’s temple was also 30 cubits high.

2          As for the house which King Solomon built for the LORD, its length was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits and its height thirty cubits.

(NAS)

Joseph, David, and Jesus were all 30 years of age when God put them in a place of power and authority and dominion. According to the article “Hebrew Linguistics and the Bible”;

“The number thirty in Hebrew was written as the letter lamed, which is literally an ox goad or staff. Thus, it was a symbol of authority, leadership, or rulership. Thirty is the number of dedication for rulership. It was the age which God established as the age of rulership for priests (Num. 4:23). Joseph was elevated to power at the age of 30, as we read in Genesis 41:46, ‘Now Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt.’ David was also thirty when he became king, as we read in 2 Sam. 5:4, ‘David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.’ The fact that Judas essentially sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver (Matt. 26:15; Zech. 11:12, 13) indicates that Judas presumed to take authority over Jesus. Thirty pieces of silver was the price of a slave, and so Judas was acting as if he was the ruler and Jesus was his slave…” (https://www.gods-abcs.com/numbers-1-to-40-defined)

Genesis 41:46

46        Now Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went through all the land of Egypt.

(NAS)

2 Samuel 5:4

4          David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.

(NAS)

Luke 3:23

23        And when He began His ministry, Jesus Himself was about thirty years of age, being supposedly the son of Joseph, the son of Eli,

(NAS)

“Why is it the height of Noah’s ark? God is showing us that His endtime vessel of deliverance will be a company of sons who have come ‘to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ’ (Eph. 4:13)… Until that third story of the ark is completed and measured up to the full THIRTY cubits, until every member of that great Body is in its proper place with all the work completed, the real action will not start. There is a glorious work being done now in the sons. Fret not if you don’t see it, for most of what is being done is invisible. But God is moving by His Spirit, and He is not a minute late. A work is being done in you, even if you do not recognize it. Just glorify God and walk with Him! He has His purpose in you and He will bring you to His full stature… I am seeing a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle, coming forth in power and authority and in the full stature of Christ [see the Bible study The Fullness Of Him], putting every enemy under foot, and giving all the world to understand that there is a victorious God in heaven who is able to do that which is impossible with men!” (p.9)

“...God will have a glorious company of Sons that have come to full stature and go forth into the conflict to win a great victory for the deliverance of humanity.” (p.10)

(See the article Iwo Jima and the Flag Raising on Mount Suribachi, and the Bible studies Iwo Jima Sulphur Island and The Spirit Led Regiment Of The Lord.)

“.. its breadth fifty cubits..” (Genesis 6:15) – The width of Noah’s ark was 50 cubits.

Leviticus 23:15-17 – This was a “new” offering, baked with leaven, which speaks of sin and imperfection. “It was not the full harvest, it was the firstfruits, and the firstfruits of the Spirit were not given to perfect the church. The early Church had hardly gotten out of the upper room when they began to show the marks of the leaven… The final perfecting of the Church will come later, with the third and final feast of “ingathering” (Tabernacles).” (p.10)

15        'You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete sabbaths.

16        'You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the LORD.

17        'You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two-tenths of an ephah; they shall be of a fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the LORD.

(NAS)

Exodus 36:12-13 – The 50 loops joined the curtains together, causing it to become one complete tabernacle.

12        Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain on the end of the second set; the loops held one curtain to another.

13        And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains to one another with the clasps, that it might be one tabernacle.

(NKJ)

“Beloved, the thing that joins God’s people together in ONE CHURCH is not the doctrine, the denomination, the name of the church, the great preacher, or the fine building…IT IS THE ANOINTING! When the Spirit is flowing, you find God’s people becoming ONE people. Whether it be in a fine church building, a living room, a store building, a tent, or a garage…as long as the anointing is there, you’ll find a people moving on in God into the oneness of the Spirit. Noah’s ark was one vessel! Fifty cubits wide.” (p.11)

The Negative Side Of 50

Joshua 7:21 – The sin of Achan. He had been part of the generation that had been delivered out of Egypt and its idolatry, but was now bringing the garment of Babylon right into the camp of Israel. It brought trouble to everyone in the camp.

21        when I saw among the spoil a beautiful mantle from Shinar (Babylon) and two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold fifty shekels in weight, then I coveted them and took them; and behold, they are concealed in the earth inside my tent with the silver underneath it."

(NAS)

“Notice the wedge was of gold. Divine, from God. Fifty shekels weight. That is a picture of the anointing, or Pentecost. But what did he do with it? He hid it in the earth, in his tent. And so it has been. The precious power of Pentecost, the divine anointing of the Spirit hid, unseen, covered over by the fleshly manifestations and ambitions of the carnal man. “If you want it, come to MY tent, join MY denomination or fellowship…If you are a son of Achan, or a sheep in his denomination, you’d better change pastures quick. You’ll end up in Achor. The precious anointing is for us, but not to be buried in man’s earth, under his tent.” (p.12)

Self Exaltation By Fifties

Two of David’s sons died a violent and shameful death. “They both had two things in common… they rebelled against the will of the King, and they had 50 men to run before them as a mark of their greatness.”

2 Samuel 15:1

1          Now it came about after this that Absalom provided for himself a chariot and horses, and fifty men as runners before him.

(NAS)

1 Kings 1:5

5          Now Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, "I will be king." So he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen with fifty men to run before him.

(NAS)

“They are a picture of those who have rebelled against God and are using the divine anointing of Pentecost to exalt themselves and draw attention to how great they are…they are using the precious gifts of God, the divine anointing to exalt themselves… Is it the real power of God? Yes. Absalom actually had FIFTY men to run before him. This speaks of the real Pentecost. But God judged him severely for his misuse of them.” (p.13)

2 Kings 1:9-15 – 50 and the prophetic ministry. The messengers of the kings of today amongst God’s people (leaders in the church) are telling the true prophets of God to come down to them because of the word they have said against them. King Ahaziah had fallen from an “upper room” and was sick unto death. So are the religious, harlot organizations of today. They have an anointing (represented by the groups of 50 that came challenging Elijah’s power), but are soon going to die. The Elijah’s of our day have a not so nice message from the Lord for them also. In the end, the 50’s came humbled, asking the prophet to come on his terms, not theirs. In the end, they knew where the true anointing from God was.

9          Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him, and behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. And he said to him, "O man of God, the king says, 'Come down.'"

(NAS)

“Now the third captain and his fifty came. But he doesn’t come in the name of the king or say, “Thus saith the king”. He says in effect, “We know that the king is wicked, and God is with you. God has proven that by fire. We know that those who opposed and rejected the prophetic ministry have perished. Now we want you to come with us, but we come humbly asking for this ministry, and you can come on your own terms.” And I declare to you that the day is soon at hand when the people who have been anointed by the Holy Ghost will come to God for revival. But they will not come in the name of the organization or denomination…The daughters of the Harlot will perish with their mother. But, the precious people of God, and many of their anointed ministers, will “come out of her,” to go on with God into a glorious realm.” (p.15-16)

2 Kings 2:7,16-17 – Fifty men here represent the anointed group again (the number of Pentecost), watching from a distance.  They came near when the power of God was revealed in the new servant Elisha, but they still wanted to search for the old thing. It was too late though; it was gone forever. Yes, it had come from God, but it had now gone back to God.

7          Now fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.

16        And they said to him, "Behold now, there are with your servants fifty strong men, please let them go and search for your master; perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up and cast him on some mountain or into some valley." And he said, "You shall not send."

17        But when they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, "Send." They sent therefore fifty men; and they searched three days, but did not find him.

(NAS)

“See how they wanted to bring back the old ministry, the old order. But Elisha told them to forget it. The old ministry had come from God, and was now gone back to God, and they would not bring it back. A new order was here, a new ministry with the same anointing, only more of it. But they insisted. So they sent their fifty strong men, and they searched for three days. This speaks of the completeness of their efforts, and the completeness of their failure to bring back the old ministry to revive the old order. Hallelujah!” (p.17)

The Year Of Jubilee

Leviticus 25:8-11 – A glorious 50 at the end of the year, on the day of atonement!

8          'You are also to count off seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years, so that you have the time of the seven sabbaths of years, namely, forty-nine years.

9          'You shall then sound a ram's horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall sound a horn all through your land.

10        'You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

11        'You shall have the fiftieth year as a jubilee; you shall not sow, nor reap its aftergrowth, nor gather in from its untrimmed vines.

(NAS)

“I see the great year of Jubilee, when we shall pass through the veil into the very presence of the fullness of God, to be filled with this fullness and go forth proclaiming liberty to all of creation. Romans 8 calls this “the manifestation of the Sons of God”, and says the whole creation is groaning and crying for this day. This goes far beyond anything portrayed anywhere else by God’s fifties. This is the ultimate anointing! This is the fullness of the Spirit! This is the Spirit without measure that Jesus had, spoken of in John3:34, reserved until the end time for His brethren!...What a glorious promise! All that was lost in the fall of Adam is to be restored! And yet more, for the glory of the latter House shall be greater than the former.” (p.21)

“You can quit hoping for a “rapture” to carry you out of this world and solve all your problems [I do believe in a rapture, but that not all in the church will go in the “first wave.” For more CRUCIAL understanding on this, see the Bible study Elul; The Season Of Preparation and 40 Days Of Favor]. Start putting your hope where it belongs…in the coming of the Lord “to bring to full salvation those who are eagerly, constantly and patiently waiting for and expecting Him.” (Hebrews 9:28 Amp.) Yes, the fullness of salvation, the fullness of God’s Spirit, the very fullness of God is coming into the vessel that He has chosen for His habitation, His house!” (p.22)
