This study has been written as an article in the section A Pure Word is Necessary For Our Purification within the Bible study Back To Jerusalem.
A prepared people are a purified people. The forerunner ministry is once again crying out to the Lord’s children, telling them to “Repent! For the kingdom of God is at hand.” Without a pure word, one without a Babylonian mixture of truth and lies, the children of God will not be made ready for His return. Christ is returning for a pure and spotless Bride, one who has been washed and made ready through the fleshly application with “pure water.” She is the “pure child of the One who bore her” (S.O.S. 6:9) that heard and applied what the Spirit was saying to the church in the final moments of this age before the return of her Heavenly Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. If we do not humbly submit to the beautification process of the Holy Spirit that is now being used to cleanse us in preparation of Jesus’ coming for His bride, first, He will not be returning for us, but will pass us by (see the section Returning To The Lord So That He Can Return For Us in the Bible study Witchcraft).
Hebrews 10:19-22 – Washing the body [of Christ] with “pure water,” meaning a clean word, without lies and falsehood, in order to present His bride “to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” (NIV) See Titus 3:4-5 which refers to our being saved “through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” (NIV)
19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a sincere [228] heart in full assurance [4136- “entire confidence; lit. a full carrying”] of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed [3068- “to bathe (the whole person), to wash oneself; also in John 13:10; see 2 Peter 2:22 below”] with pure water [2513- “clean, pure (free from the admixture or adhesion of anything that soils, adulterates, corrupts)”]
NASU
NT:228 alethinos (al-ay-thee-nos')
(Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)
from NT:227; truthful:
KJV - true.
(Thayer’s Greek Lexicon)
1. that which has not only the name and semblance, but the real nature corresponding to the name real and true, genuine
a. opposed to what is fictitious, counterfeit, imaginary, simulated, pretended
b. it contrasts realities with their semblances [“the outward appearance or apparent form of something,
especially when the reality is different”]
c. opposed to what is imperfect, defective, frail, uncertain (John 4:23,37)
2. equivalent to aleethees, true, veracious, sincere
3. that which has not only the name and semblance, but the real nature corresponding to the name (Tittmann, p. 155; (“particularly applied to express that which is all that it pretends to be, for instance, pure gold as opposed to adulterated metal” Donaldson, New Crat. § 258; see, at length, Trench, § viii.)), in every respect corresponding to the idea signified by the name, real and true, genuine; a. opposed to what is fictitious, counterfeit, imaginary, simulated, pretended
A “full assurance” [4136] passage;
Hebrews 6:10-12 – See the note below.
10 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.
11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance [4136- see def. above in Hebrews 10:22] of hope until the end,
12 so that you will not be sluggish [3576- “lazy, slothful, slow, dull”; lukewarm Laodiceans], but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
NASU
Without “faith and patience,” being diligent (“steady in application; constant in effort or exertion to accomplish what is undertaken”) in our walk with Christ “until the end” (Matthew 10:22, 24:13), we will not inherit the promise of God, the greatest being eternal life in Christ. The prophet Isaiah declares, “Open the gates that the righteous nation [1471- “nation, people, heathen (i.e. Gentile)”] may enter, the nation [1471] that keeps [8104- “to keep, to guard, to retain”] faith [529 – “established, faithful, trustworthy”]. You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:2-3/NIV) Vines Expository Dictionary states that the Hebrew for “nation” “may be used of a people, apart from its territorial identity.” Only those people of God’s nation who “keep faith” with Christ, those who remain faithful through obedience to His truth, will be, by definition, established in Him. They are His “faithful/truthful witness” before men that will not deceive the world through their compromised walk with Christ (Proverbs 14:5).
The Lord declares that the gates to His eternal kingdom will be abundantly supplied to His faithful children, to those who are diligent about their walks with Him;
“Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.”
(2 Peter 1”10-11/NASU)
Oppositely, in Deuteronomy 32:20 the Lord declares that He will hide His face from His unfaithful children. Through slothful unfaithfulness to His truth, they will not be established in Christ, possessing a “sure foundation,” and will be swept away in the final flood of judgment. I see a picture in this of the wise virgins that, because of their diligence in heart preparation, are allowed entrance, at the end, through the gates into the wedding feast of the Lamb. The foolish, sluggish virgins of the Lord will encounter a shut door.
Numbers 19:11-22 – See the note below.
11 'The one who touches the corpse of any person [i.e. comes into contact with a dead body] shall be unclean [2930- “to be unclean, impure, defiled”] for seven days. [How long will the tribulation last? Yes, 7 years.]
12 'That one shall purify himself from uncleanness with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean [2891- “to be clean, pure, to be bright, uncontaminated”]; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean [2891].
13 'Anyone who touches a corpse, the body of a man who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles [2930] the tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off [3772- “to cut down, to cut off a body part, to eliminate, to kill, to cut or make a covenant”] from Israel. Because the water for impurity [5079- “impurity, (filthiness, set apart, impure thing (figurative); used of idolatry, immorality”] was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him. [the crucial need for “pure water” (Hebrews 10:22 above), a pure word of truth that is not mixed with lies in the last days (i.e. the latter rain of the seventh day), right before the return of Christ, to prepare His people. See John 2:6; the six stone waterpots used for the Jewish custom of purification.]
14 'This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean [2930] for seven days.
15 'Every open vessel, which has no covering tied down on it, shall be unclean [2930].
16 'Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been slain with a sword or who has died naturally, or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days.
17 'Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the burnt purification from sin and flowing [2416- “living, fresh, reviving”] water shall be added to them in a vessel.
18 'A clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there, and on the one who touched the bone or the one slain or the one dying naturally or the grave.
19 'Then the clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify him from uncleanness, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and shall be clean [2891- “to be bright, to be clean; i.e. to be pure (physical sound, clear, unadulterated; Levitically, uncontaminated; morally, innocent or holy)”] by evening.
20 'But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself from uncleanness, that person shall be cut off [3772- “to cut off, to cut down, to cut off a body part, to eliminate, to kill, to cut a covenant”] from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled [2930] the sanctuary of the Lord; the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him, he is unclean.
21 'So it shall be a perpetual statute for them. And he who sprinkles the water for impurity [5079] shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
22 'Furthermore, anything that the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the person who touches it shall be unclean until evening.'"
NASU
This is the law of the Lord that was given to Moses and Aaron regarding the touching of a dead body by His children (i.e. Christians), and the “water for impurity” (KJV “water of separation”; NKJV “water of purification”) that is used to make them clean again. This “flowing/living water” (i.e. a pure word of truth) will be used, when applied, to separate us from all that is wicked before the Lord (i.e. our sanctification by the Spirit in 2 Thess. 2:13), marking us out as His children that will be spared from His wrath (Ezekiel 9:4; Rev. 7:3, 9:4). Without this clean water, through clean people, you would remain in an “unclean” state, not separated unto the Lord, without His holiness, thereby defiling His dwelling within you, and be cut off from His people (Romans 11:17-25). To not partake of the final cleansing by the Holy Spirit is to be a foolish virgin who will not be allowed entrance into the wedding feast of the Lamb. (See the Bible study Wholly Illumined No Dark Part.)
One day I was led to see the following insight about the third day and the seventh day, and their connection with the early and latter rain;
3rd day = 3rd month = Pentecost = appointed time of the early rain (seed rain)
7th day = 7th month = Tabernacles = appointed time of the latter rain (harvest rain)
Both “days” are necessary for the cleansing of the Body of Christ, our complete purification, and both rains are necessary to bring to completion the harvest (Deuteronomy 11:8-17). Luke 5:2 refers to the disciples washing their nets.
It is extremely important in this time to not miss what the Spirit is saying to the church, one last time before the Bridegroom comes to “snatch away” His purified Bride. If we, His betrothed bride are being warned by Him to get ready, to prepare our hearts so as to have a spotless gown, then it would be wise to allow Him to search us and cleanse us of all worldly spots before it’s too late and the doors are shut. As the inappropriately dressed man found out, our call to remove the uncleanness of our soul must be heeded in order to be allowed access into His holy presence, and remain (Matthew 22:11-13). (See the Bible study The Church Without Stain Or Wrinkle.)
Ezekiel 36:22-38
22 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord God, "It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.
23 "I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord," declares the Lord God, "when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.
24 "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.
25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. [Zechariah 13:1-2 – “‘In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity. It will come about in that day,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered; and I will also remove the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.’” (NASU)]
26 "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
28 "You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers [see Malachi 4:6]; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. [See 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 about the Lord’s command to “come out” and touch nothing “unclean,” which He describes, in order to be welcomed by the Lord as His sons and daughters, for the gates/doors to be opened wide for us.]
NASU
Malachi 3:1-7 – The refining process of God, cleansing His children, preparing them before He draws near for judgment so as to be spared (Malachi 3:16-18)
2 Peter 2:20-22 – Peter describes a Christian who, after being “washed” by the Lord, returns to their sin. This results in the last state being worse than the first state of being without Christ. He is saying that it would be better for them as an unbeliever than to be given, by the Spirit, the knowledge of “the way of righteousness,” which means they turned to the Lord, and then turn away from Him. That is an extremely serious warning that not many in the church, thanks to the doctrine of demons known as “eternal security,” or “once saved always saved.” The only way to be described as someone who has “escaped the defilements of the world” is through a repentant heart that has turned to the Lord.
20 For if, after they have escaped [668- “to flee away from”; 2 Peter 1:4, 2:18] the defilements [3393- “pollutions; vices the foulness of which contaminates one in his contact with the ungodly mass of mankind”] of the world by the knowledge [1922- “exact, precise or full knowledge; discernment, recognition, acknowledgment”] of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled [1707- “to entwine; fig. involve with”] in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness [which means it had been revealed by the Holy Spirit], than having known it, to turn away [5290- “to turn back, to return”] from the holy commandment handed on to them.
22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, "A DOG RETURNS [1994- “to turn back, to turn around”] TO ITS OWN VOMIT," and, "A sow, after washing [3068- “to bathe (the while person), to wash oneself; see Hebrews 10:22 above”], returns [1994] to wallowing in the mire."
NASU
Revelation 1:4-6 – Only Jesus can wash us from our sins, our filthy, unclean condition before Him. By definition, to be washed is to be loosed, or separated from the bondage of sin that will destroy us. See the section A Pure Word is Necessary For Our Purification in the Bible study Back To Jerusalem.
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed [3089] us from our sins in His own blood,
6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

NT:3089 luo (loo'-o)
(Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance)
a primary verb; to "loosen" (literally or figuratively):
KJV - break (up), destroy, dissolve, (un-) loose, melt, put off. Compare NT:4486.
(Thayer’s Greek Lexicon)
1. to loose any person (or thing) tied or fastened (Mark 1:7)
2. to loose one bound, i. e., to unbind, release from bonds, set free (Acts 22:30)
3. to loosen, undo, dissolve, anything bound, tied, or compacted together: the seal of a book (Rev. 5:2)
(From the Bible study Feast Of Trumpets, which is part of the study Elul; The Season Of Preparation And 40 Days Of Favor.)
Preparation day was the day before a Sabbath day, or a festival day. It involved activities beyond the normal so as to be ready for this moment when normal daily routines were paused (see the Bible studies Preparing His Way and Preparing The Bride Of Christ). Spiritually speaking, we too are in a day of preparation before the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement are fulfilled on earth.
According to Josephus, an ancient Jewish historian, the Israelites began to make preparations for the sabbath well before sunset, which for Jewish people marks the beginning of the next day when the observances actually began. They would suspend normal business and social activity and prepare all food in advance.
In an article entitled “Preparation For Shabbat,” the following insights stood out to me;
“The quality of an occasion and the success of it is often determined by the amount of preparation that goes into it. In the Scripture, the day before the onset of Shabbat is called “Preparation Day” (Mark 15:42, Luke 23:54, John 19:31). To be able to keep the Sabbath properly, adequate preparation is necessary which means planning ahead…
The necessary preparation involves preparing special meals in advance, organizing the Sabbath artifacts, cleaning, and most of all, arranging our schedules for prayer and time together…
As a result of many generations of keeping the Sabbath, the Jews set apart the time starting from the evening sacrifice, from 3pm on Friday to “wind down” from the week’s affairs and concerns, and prepare their hearts and minds to embrace Shabbat. This may not be possible to have this time free in our society, but it is of benefit to employ this principle where possible to do whatever is possible ahead of time and finish any last minute preparations to ensure we are ready to enjoy this special day…
As part of the spiritual preparation, a cleansing ritual in a bath (mikveh) followed by a prayer and reading of the Word has become a tradition in order to draw close to Yahweh God for the commencement of the day…
A special meal is prepared and it is customary to make it a festive occasion in whatever way is meaningful, and to dress specially for the occasion. The Sabbath is a feast of Yahweh.”
All of these preparations have spiritual parallels for us today, before entering into the final rest in Christ; special meals, adjusting our schedules, winding down from worldly affairs, a cleansing ritual, and to dress specifically for the occasion. It is time.
Exodus 19:10-17- The people of God were told to consecrate themselves in preparation to meet the Lord. So must we. The Lord is coming back, soon, for the pure and spotless Bride that, after hearing His trumpet like ministers, has answered the midnight call to “come out to meet Him” (Matthew 25:6). They have in obedience and anxious anticipation prepared their hearts by faith. The others within the camp of the church who heard but did not do what God willed, will not enter into His glorious presence but will be cast into great tribulation where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth with the wicked (see the Bible study Outer Darkness). They are the foolish virgins who will not be allowed entrance into the wedding feast of the Lamb.
10 The Lord also said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments; [see the Bible study Consecration]
11 and let them be ready [“firm, stable, established, to prepare, to be ready”] for the third day [see the Bible study The Third Day], for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
12 "You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, 'Beware that you do not go up on the mountain or touch the border of it; whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.
13 'No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether beast or man, he shall not live.' When the ram's horn sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain."
14 So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people, and they washed their garments.
15 He said to the people, "Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman."
16 So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
