The Devil’s Attempt To Release The Powers Of Darkness
Against The “Rebel Alliance” That Oppose Him
This coming Sunday’s Superbowl will be held in one of, if not the most wicked cities in our nation, Las Vegas (a.k.a. “Sin City”), at Allegiant Stadium. The word allegiant is defined as “loyal, faithful; a faithful follower; adherent.” The example given in the Collin’s Dictionary just happens to be; “allegiance of religious cults.” It is my conviction to not participate this year in what is looking more and more like that which has been given over to the darkness that has enveloped our nation. I would not tell you what to do with this, but to be alert and aware so as not to offend the One whose coming draws near. Princetons WordNet uses this example in a sentence for allegiant; “It is impossible to be allegiant to two opposing forces.” Could this game, at this critical time in our nation’s history, be a test, as well as a manifestation of our allegiance? I believe it is.
The Death Star
Allegiant Stadium is known as the “Death Star.” The nickname comes from Mark Davis, owners of the Las Vegas Raiders. When he opened the stadium for the team’s first scrimmage in Las Vegas, “Sin City,” he said, “Welcome to the Death Star, where our opponents’ dreams come to die.” The death star implication comes from the Star Wars series of movies. Here’s some internet explanations;
“The Death Star was the Empire’s ultimate weapon: a moon-sized space station with the ability to destroy an entire planet. But the Emperor and Imperial officers like Grand Moff Tarkin underestimated the tenacity of the Rebel Alliance, who refused to bow to this technological terror…”
“The Death Star is a fictional space station and superweapon featured in the Star Wars space-opera franchise. Constructed by the autocratic Galactic Empire, the Death Star is capable of annihilating entire planets into rubble, and serves to enforce the Empire's reign of terror.”
Here’s more interesting information on the Death Star;
“Proper versions of the Death Star were featured in Star Wars, which Luke Skywalker destroyed, and Return of the Jedi. The latter movie saw the Galactic Empire in the midst of building a bigger Death Star, but the Rebel Alliance foiled Emperor Palpatine's plan to lure them into a trap, and Lando Calrissian used the Millennium Falcon to destroy the Death Star's power core, causing it to blow up. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Starkiller Base is basically another Death Star that, like the others before it, is blown up by the Resistance near the end of the movie.”
Will we, the Rebel Alliance of the Lord be awakened by a heavenly Force, resisting our enemy at the end of this age so as to be used by God to “blow up,” so to speak, the devil’s wicked plans of utter destruction for our planet and all of mankind?
As all Star Wars enthusiasts know, in the movie, the Millenium Falcon was the smuggler spaceship mainly commanded by Hans Solo and his Wookie first mate, Chewbacca. It looked like a piece of junk on its last leg, “but beneath her hull she’s full of surprises.” In a similar way, what the Lord is about to use to deal with the enemies “death star” aimed at mankind will surprise most and offend many in the church. She won’t be polished, or anything that most would desire to be on board with, but she too, underneath, in the “inner parts” is full of Holy Spirit inspired surprises.
The Evil Connection Between Emperor Palpatine and Caesar Augustus
An article entitled, “Star Wars: What Each Sith Lord's Name Means,” gives an interesting background of the cunning, fictitious character mentioned above named Emperor Palpatine. It says;
“In the Star Wars universe, Sith Lords have a tradition of adopting intimidating titles, but what do each of their names truly mean? Names can reveal a lot, and many creators are careful when deciding on what to call their characters, sometimes picking words with important meanings behind them - and that's very much the case with the Sith. The Sith were an ancient religious order of Force-wielders who worshipped and used the dark side of the Force, formed by those who abandoned the Jedi Order.
The word Sith was first used in the 1976 novelization of A New Hope but wasn't used in the movies until Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The word itself has no relevant meaning behind it - it’s the archaic form of ‘since.’ However, while creating Star Wars, George Lucas was inspired by pulp sci-fi novels, possibly including Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Barsoom series. In Burroughs’ books, there is a race of insects called Sith; which could've inspired Lucas. Another aspect to consider is the psychological symbolism [demonic "psy-ops" so to speak] of certain sounds. When we pronounce ‘Sith,’ it comes off as a hiss, and we subconsciously associate that noise with snakes and serpents, animals that are seen as duplicitous, poisonous creatures - an apt description to an evil order.
“Darth Sidious & Emperor Palpatine: Darth Sidious is the Sith Lord name for Sheev Palpatine, the man behind the Clone Wars and the end of the Galactic Republic. While his first appearance was in The Empire Strikes Back, Palpatine had been casting a shadow long before Luke Skywalker was born. He is the infamous architect of Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side and the destruction of the Jedi. But before he became the Emperor, he was Darth Sidious, a mysterious figure pulling the right strings so his public persona could rise in power.
One of the inspirations for the character of Emperor Palpatine was the Roman Emperor Augustus. Like Palpatine, Augustus grabbed power by denouncing the corruption in the senate and pressuring the democratic institutions to give him total authority to deal with a crisis. In keeping with the Roman connection, Augustus built his imperial palaces on the Palentine Hill in Rome. Although not exact matches, it’s possible this Latin word for palace led to the Emperor’s name. This fits with Sheev Palpatine’s regal backstory and political tactics.
As for Darth Sidious, his name is a play on ‘insidious,’ which means seductive, treacherous, and “having a gradual and cumulative effect.” [Seems to be an obvious comparison to the devil’s modus operandi.] Although the name Palpatine was used in the 1976 novelization of A New Hope, the Emperor’s Sith moniker would only be created in 1999. So it’s likely that Sidious was selected to reflect his shadowy role in the prequel trilogy and his manipulative influence over Anakin. The choice isn’t exactly subtle, but it does the job of conveying precisely who Palpatine is while embodying his Sith alter ego perfectly.”
Notice that the “seductive, treacherous” Emperor Palpatine caused Anakin Skywalker to “fall to the dark side,” much like our enemy, the devil, attempts against all who are called to lead those who will oppose him (i.e. Christians). In the movie, “Anakin Skywalker had the potential to become one of the most powerful Jedi ever, and was believed by some to be the prophesied Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force.”
The Jedi were “a noble order of protectors unified by their ability to tap into the power of the Force. The Jedi Order were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic. The age of the Jedi would end, however, due to a nefarious plot by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious.” Because of their status, it became important for the evil one to destroy those who had the potential to destroy him. This is another similar tactic to the devil who goes after leadership first, in order to weaken the rest for him to overpower them. Strangely enough, there is a picture through this of the battle we face as Christians against our arch enemy, the devil, who sees us as the Rebel Force” he must destroy.
Emperor Palpatine’s connection with Roman Emperor Augustus
In an article titled “What was Augustus Caesar’s impact on biblical history?” from www.gotquestions.org, the following insights were given regarding who this man mentioned in the New Testament was;
“Caesar Augustus is only mentioned once in the New Testament, at the beginning of the well-known Christmas story recorded in Luke 2: “In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world” (verse 1). As a result of this decree, Joseph had to return to his ancestral home, Bethlehem, and he took with him Mary, who was already expecting the Baby Jesus…
The census that forced Joseph and Mary to go to Bethlehem was Augustus Caesar’s most obvious impact on biblical history; however, there are other facts concerning Caesar Augustus that would have been meaningful to first-century readers of the Gospels.Octavian was given the name Augustus, which means “great” or “venerable” or “worthy of reverence,” which is an insinuation that he was worthy of worship. In 42 BC, the Senate formally deified Julius Caesar as divus Iulius (“the divine Julius”). This led to his adopted son, Octavian, being known as divi filius (“son of the god”), a title that Augustus Caesar embraced. Coins issued by Augustus featured Caesar’s image and inscriptions such as “Divine Caesar and Son of God.” An Egyptian inscription calls Augustus Caesar a star “shining with the brilliance of the Great Heavenly Savior.” In 17 BC an uncommon star did appear in the heavens; Augustus commanded a celebration, and Virgil pronounced, “The turning point of the ages has come.” During Augustus’ reign, emperor worship exploded, especially in Asia Minor, which later became a hotbed for persecution of Christians. (Asia Minor was the area Paul covered in his first two missionary journeys as well as the location of the seven churches receiving letters in Revelation.) From what we know of Augustus and the worship that was paid to him, it is clear that Luke is telling the story of Jesus in such a way that Christ is seen as the true possessor of the titles claimed by Augustus. It is not Augustus who is Savior and Lord, but “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord” (Luke 2:11). It is not Augustus, but Jesus who is the Son of God (Luke 1:32). And it is not in Augustus that the turning point of the ages has come, but in Jesus Christ, who ushers in the kingdom of God (Luke 4:43).”
The Devil Desires To Usher In His Insidious Takeover
At the forefront of the Superbowl are two well-known entertainers that highly influence many people within our nation, as well as around the world; Taylor Swift and Usher. They have both been groomed for such a time as this and are being used by those in “high places” within our nation for their nefarious plans for gaining complete power. The wicked are trying to “SWIFT-ly USHER” in their devious plan, using their bought pawns. The source of this attempted power play is the devil.
Those who hear what the Spirit is saying to the “Rebel Alliance” under His guard must NOT participate in any way with this evil lest they receive of her plagues when poured out by God against her adherents (Revelation 18:1-8). What was simply a sporting event in the past has now, like the rest of our nation, been infiltrated to such a great degree by the forces of evil that it must be dealt with, SWIFT-ly! Our resistance through prayer and fasting on that very day, not touching that considered as “unclean” before God, will cause the plans of the evil one to crumble around him. This is an EXTREMELY important call to arms for the body of Christ. Silence will be to God as walking in agreement with the enemy. It is a time to rise up and do what the Spirit is saying to HIS church! Who will answer the call to pray against this wicked horde and spare our nation from complete destruction when God judges us?
Remedial Judgment vs. Final Judgment
There is a very defining difference between a remedial judgment and a final judgment from God. The word remedial is defined as “giving or intended as a remedy, or cure.” Per the Cambridge Dictionary, “A remedial action is intended to correct something that is wrong or to improve a bad situation: to take urgent/immediate remedial action.” It’s similar to what some have coined as “a shot across the bows.” This phrase that comes from the history of warfare means “To give someone a warning of imminent severe action.” A remedial judgment strongly warns a person or group such as a nation to not do something, or to stop doing something. Meaning, if the current direction is not halted the next shot will be a direct hit, or final judgment, without any act of mercy. For those who have been given over to their sin, it’s too late. Their final judgment has been decreed and set and will be carried out in full measure, in due time. But for others, what we are about to experience in our nation will be remedial, an urgent plea from the Holy Spirit to alter their course of rebellion and turn back immediately. This will result in the final revival, the final harvest of souls before the return of Christ. There isn’t much time either way.
A good example would be what occurs when there is road work being done on one of our expressways. There will be plenty of warnings to slow down and alter your speed. Flashing lights and strips that cause vibration as you drive over them are common forms used to gain our attention. To not observe these signs could result in a very expensive ticket, cause an accident, and in the worse case scenario cause the death of a worker on the job site.
In Conclusion
Having explained what I’m seeing, and believe to be the obvious truth for the very few among God’s people who still have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, we must take this event that millions around the globe are going to participate in, either at the stadium itself or on television, very seriously so as not to receive of its plagues through joint participation (Revelation 18:4-5). This is a heavenly call to spiritual arms, by the Spirit!
It’s time to call what few in the church have even heard of, a Sacred Assembly where we seek the Lord with a heart of humility, repenting of our own sins, while interceding for the sins of our nation. Does the angel of destruction now stand above us with his sword drawn? Oh Lord, have mercy and pour Your Spirit one last time.
Whether you seek the Lord’s intervention alone in your own home, or with others, God is calling all believers on Sunday, February 11, 2024, to stand in the gap for the soul of a nation. It will be our obedience, with prayer and fasting that will thwart the plans of our enemy to take total control over us. The rebellion through the Death Star against the plan and purpose of God for the United States of America must be squashed by God, not any human intervention. It is a plan of attack in the heavenlies against “the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
We must remember from where we have fallen since our founding, repent, and renew the covenant made by those who founded this nation as witnessed in the Mayflower Compact over our very soil. It was then continued throughout our history by those whom the Spirit moved to reenter the covenant in order for this nation, at its low moments of spirituality as we now find ourselves in, to continue God’s favor with us.
This is not a time to sit back in your easy chair and be entertained by the devil. Arise Christians while the Lord is inviting us to do so and separate quickly from that which Gid will pour out His wrath on. The door of opportunity to recognize His desired visitation on our soil and take back dominion from our enemy so as to continue to occupy until He comes will not be open forever. This is the moment of time in history when we must rise up through the power of the Holy Spirit and contend on our hands and knees with the evil one who sees an opportunity to destroy us. May the Holy Spirit of God’s indisputable Force on earth be with us through our intercession until He comes to gather His people who repent and seek His face rather than His hand-outs. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Amen!
